Street Fighter custom canvas (update 2)

Hey everyone, this is the second update for my Street Fighter graffiti canvas that I am currently spraying. I have to say that i never thought the piece would actually be as hard as it is, but I feel that the rewards of the effort can now begin to be seen in these pictures. The Akuma character is not complete yet, as I did not get as much done today as I hoped, but I'm confident he will be complete tomorrow, then I can move on to the Ryu Character!!!

Anyway here are the pictures, let me know what you think everyone!!!

In this picture - A close up image of Akuma's face

In this picture - A full shot of the character as he is now (//2010)

In this picture - A landscape shot of the top half of the Akuma character

In this picture - A close up shot of the symbol on Akuma's back. This image shows a symbol still in development, I hope the actual end results will look alot better

In this picture - The piece as it looks as of now (//2010)

Thanks again for looking, stay posted as I will hopefully have some of the next character (Ryu) done tomorrow, along with a finished Akuma

Peace

A random pencil sketch done at 2 in the morning

Well i think the title of the blog is pretty self explanatory, so here it is

A friend of mine (Jennifer Marie) told me recently that I should use my skills to capture the beauty of a woman, so I decided to give it a shot. I think that I will develop this into a proper piece on canvas soon because I'm really happy with the way the sketch came out.

Let me know what you think everyone out there

Street Fighter custom canvas (update 1)

Hey everyone, these are the first few images of how the Street Fighter canvas is currently developing. This piece will be for sale upon completion, the price has not been established yet as this will come about when this piece is complete. So stay updated for info on the price if you are interested, or you can mail me at salaam28@hotmail.com with an queries regarding the piece.

Anyway, that aside, here are the first few pics, enjoy!!

In this picture - The beginning of the looong process of creating the stencils that would be used to create the characters. As can be seen I began with the Akuma character, largely becausee I really wanted to try the new shades of green spray paint I had managed to get my hands on.

In these pictures - The first stencil mount card prepared and ready to be cut.

In this picture - The top half of Akuma being sprayed. 3 shades of green, 3 shades of red and 1 shade of brown have been used at this stage.

In these pictures - 2 additional shades of brown added, some black and some greater definition given to the overall character

In these pictures - These are the most recent pictures of the piece to date. I feel the character of Akuma is developing
well, and I think I will have him finished tomorrow.

Well that's all for now everyone, check back tomorrow for a (hopefully) completed Akuma!!

Peace

Street Fighter custom canvas

I am currently working on a new design based on the popular Capcom fighting game series, Street Fighter (All rights reserved by Capcom, I own nothing in regards to the Street Fighter franchise). I'm sure that nearly all of you out there are familiar with the name, and have most likely played, or own a number of the game yourself. Well I'm a big fan of the series, and after playing the old super Nintendo Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo recently I was inspired.

And the following design is what I came up with.

The design was greatly influenced by the works of Alvin Lee, one of the most well know character artist for the Street Fighter series, so credit to him for the inspiration in terms of the characters design.

The background will be a dark moon lit sky, with a dark field in the foreground. The light coming from the two characters hands will fly into the night sky as well, creating a number of lightning effects.

I will begin spraying this piece tomorrow with some Montana Gold spray paint on a big 60 inch wide by 48 inch high cotton canvas.

Ill post pictures of the progress, so keep up to date!!

Peace
